"Automatic Love" is a song by Kylie Minogue from her eponymous fifth studio album Kylie Minogue (1994).
Background and composition[]
"Automatic Love" was recorded originally, as a demo, with the Rapino Brothers in 1993; this was during Kylie's sessions with them in the early stages of the album; though most of these tracks did not make it onto the album, a few of them, including "Automatic Love", we reworked with Brothers in Rhythm for inclusion on the final track listing.
"Automatic Love" was written by Kylie, Inga Humpe and The Rapino Brothers, and was produced by Brothers in Rhythm. The songs runs for four minutes and forty five seconds, written in the key of C minor, at a tempo of 92 beats per minute.
Live performances[]
Kylie first performed "Automatic Love" in August 1995, performing it during her sets at T in the Park and Feile Festival. She also performed it as one of three songs during an interview on Parabens RTP in Portugal in 1996.
