"At Christmas" is a song by Kylie Minogue, from the Snow Queen Edition of her thirteenth studio album, Kylie Christmas (2015). The song was released on 22 November 2016 by Parlophone. It serves as the lead single from the reissue, and premiered on the The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.
Background and composition[]
"At Christmas" was written by Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen and Patrick Joseph Devine, whilst production was handled by the former two.
At a running time of three minutes and forty six seconds, "At Christmas" is set at a tempo of 137 beats per minute, in the key of D major.
Release[]
Kylie announced the release of the Snow Queen Edition on 2 November 2016, with the track listing and artwork revealed on the same day. "At Christmas" was announced as the lead single from the album on 4 November, when the album was made available for pre-order on Kylie's website. The single was officially released on 22 November 2016, three days before the release of the album.
Live performances[]
On 6 December, Kylie performed the song on Stasera Casa Mika and two days after on her Facebook page with the Warner Music Choir. She also performed it on the Jonathan Ross Show in 2016.
The song was featured in the 2016 shows of the A Kylie Christmas concert series; it appeared as the last song of the first section of the show.
